Hey guys, I wanted to share with you something that I actually found several months ago, but just remembered when I was digging through my Favorites. During Barack Obama's historic campaign, Time Magazine photographer Callie Shell had unprecedented access to the then-Senator from Illinois. She took some incredible candid shots, starting from late 2006 when he announced his candidacy up to his speech at the Democratic National Convention last August.

Shell has actually stuck around with the Obama family and is now considered to be their unofficial private photographer. To learn more about Shell, her friendship with the Obamas, and a bit more background on some select photos, check out this recent Guardian article.
